40mm titanium micro coated mylar driver

The 40mm professional grade mylar speakers in the SA950i are micro-coated in titanium. Titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal, and is normally used in the aerospace industries. To get the best sound from a speaker the diaphragm needs to be stiff and strong but also light weight, these two requirements are often incompatible but combining the high grade mylar base with titanium coating creates the perfect composite material for a speaker and gives the driver such precision and ultra-fast response times that the entire audible spectrum is reproduced with perfect clarity, without a trace of distortion.
